FREDERICKSBURG, Va., Mar. 12, 2024 — Flatter, Inc. is honored to announce its third consecutive contract award to provide Programmatic and Logistics Support Services for the National Defense University (NDU) Capstone Education Program. This new five-year contract extends our commitment to supporting the nation's senior military leaders through July 2029.
For nearly a decade, Flatter, Inc. has been at the forefront of designing and delivering critical support services in collaboration with the NDU. The Capstone Education Program is designed to offer unparalleled senior leadership and guidance to newly selected general and flag officers. Through a comprehensive curriculum that includes classroom seminars, local and overseas field studies, and the Joint Operations Module, the program prepares these leaders to navigate the complexities of national security and strategic command.
“Flatter has been successfully supporting this program for the past eight years and looks forward to another 5 years of performance. Our strength comes not only from our support of National Defense University, but our robust Executive Cadre capability and our ability to provide multiple opportunities to our cadre across several programs" said Brittany Chiang, Chief Executive Officer, of Flatter, Inc. “We are deeply grateful to our staff and the dedicated team at NDU, including Patrick Alston, Sandra Jacobs, Rev Jones, and Jim Cabase, for their continuous support and collaboration. Their commitment has been instrumental in our shared success.”
CSM Pat Alston, who serves as Flatter’s Chief of Staff and Senior Fellow at NDU, remarked, “We’re honored to continue to support our nation’s most prestigious resource—our Senior Leaders who don our nation’s cloth. Our contributions of providing Senior Fellows that help shape their futures is invaluable. Our leadership at Flatter takes this endeavor with the utmost pride and gratitude.”
J.R. Flatter, Flatter’s President, Chairman, and Chief Learning Officer, played a pivotal role in solutioning the Senior Fellow coordination process, which has since proven to be invaluable to the Capstone Education Program's success over the last eight years. Flatter continually refreshes its Senior Fellow cadre, adding new talent. For example, the organization onboarded General John W. 'Jay' Raymond, Chief of Space Operations from the United States Space Force, to ensure the USSF was represented to the nation's joint senior leadership.
In addition to supporting the Capstone Education Program, Flatter, Inc. maintains a robust Executive Cadre of over 160 senior leaders, contributing to a diverse portfolio that includes the Adjunct Contract Professor role for the DAF Senior Leader Development Portfolio and various commercial arrangements. Together, Flatter continues to deliver best-in-class talent to consulting relationships and educational events.
